MiB makes it simple to design and build realistic industrial buildings in N Scale, whether you’re an experienced modeller or completely new to the hobby. The modular system gives you the freedom to create buildings that fit your layout, while precision-engineered components make the process straightforward from design to finished model.

Follow the four simple steps below to see how the MiB system works.

01 - Design

Start by choosing the footprint of your building using the standard 76mm wall panel width. For example, a 3×2 panel footprint creates a building three panels wide and two panels deep.

Next, choose your building height from 36mm, 56mm or 76mm. Different heights can be combined within the same building using transition connectors.

Finally, choose the wall panels that make up your building. With 29 variants currently available, you can perfectly configure the building to your layout.

02 - Decorate

Decorate your components before assembly for easier handling and a cleaner, more realistic finish. Detail parts are supplied separately so you can paint and weather each component before it is installed.

The modular design of the wall panels and connectors gives you plenty of scope to experiment with colours, finishes and weathering to create a building that’s uniquely yours.

03 - Build

Every MiB component is precision-engineered to fit snugly, creating a strong and stable structure.

Build each wall separately, joining panels with linear connectors, or transition connectors where different heights are used. Add the detail parts before joining the completed walls together using corner connectors.

Finally, install the roof supports and roof panels to complete the building.

Assembly requires only a good-quality, thick, non-runny cyanoacrylate (CA) glue to secure the wall panels to the connectors, the roof supports to the wall panels, and the roof panels to the supports.

04. Detail

Bring your building to life with the details that make an industrial scene feel real. Add signs, equipment, vehicles, fencing, lighting and other prototypical details to the building and its surroundings.

Then put it to work. Create realistic freight operations, shunting moves and deliveries, and enjoy a building that’s not just part of your layout, but part of the railway.
